When blogging, time just always seems to be an issue! Convert Kit has just produced an amazing article, with several different topics and blogging struggles was one of those topics. I can relate! To read the full article yourself, please click here.

I have been involved with a group of bloggers in a Facebook group- The Party Bloggers (shameless promotional plug inserted)! They are an amazing group of women, and they (and I) all seem to have the same problem- lack of time to put into a blog. You can link to our Link Party right here!
We come from varied backgrounds, different continents, some have babies and some have grand-babies! Some like myself have no children. Some of us work full-time, some part-time and some are stay-at-home moms, but again we all struggle with time.
I already have had a chance to skim the entire Convert Kit report (because yes, you guessed it, I am pressed for time) and I am super impressed.
The report covers everything from bloggers work habits, to their audience, and even to how they make money.
If you would like to read the report yourself, here is your chance!! And just to wet your appetite, here are a few quick statistics from the report-
As I thought about the report, I realized that I had to make a change in how I do business. Just fitting in time for blogging works to a certain extent, but I need to be more intentional in how I do business.
Thoughts on creating more time for myself
- Make sure I have goals set every week dedicated to producing content, but also to learning more about this crazy business. This week (and the last couple of weeks) I am concentrating on SEO (search engine optimization) so that more people can find my blog just through a Google search on a topic.
- Depending on my work schedule, get up earlier. This is a tough one for me- I am a morning person and I get so much more done in the morning, but a lot of the time I have to leave the house at 5:30. That means I have to get up at 4:45. I’m a morning person, but getting up earlier than that is a stretch even for me. Now, sometimes, like this morning, I don’t have to leave until 7:30. I can and I did get up extra early to work on this post.
- Realize I don’t have to get everything done in one sitting. My mantra over the last couple of years has been “Progress, not Perfection”. If I have 15 minutes, and I have a list of goals for the week, I can do something! To go along with that, I have been paralyzed with Link Parties. Let me explain- the gurus say to get to Link Parties early. I mostly can’t do that because of my schedule, so I don’t join at all. What a mistake!!- I need to link no matter what time it is. Where is it getting me trying to wait for the perfect time? …a bunch of missed opportunities creating connections with other bloggers.
I’d love to add more items to this list, but I believe I need to start slow. Every little thing I can implement will only grow this blog. I’d honestly love to hear your strategies for gaining time in your life. Please comment below!
If you made it this far in my post, and you are intrigued about the Convert Kit report, it’s not too late to check it out here!!
If you liked this post, please share this! It helps a lot with the growth of this blog. I know most people don’t share because they feel that their one social share will do anything. But here’s the truth…I’m building this blog one small share at a time, and will continue to do so. So thank you so much for your support, my reader.
