Ah, spring! The time of year when everything is fresh and new! Do you like to channel your inner Martha Stewart sometimes and set a beautiful table? I do too! Check out my interpretation of a Spring table. How do you like to decorate your table for this season? Let me know how you celebrate spring!
This table setting just makes me smile! It’s so cheery with all the flowers. I wish I had some fancier things to add drama to this table, but I’m a pretty simple person, so I just used what I had available. On my future wish list- chargers and some plain napkins that will go with many different table settings.
The salt and pepper shakers were a present from my Mother-in-Law and they add a touch of elegance to any table setting, especially one that is a spring celebration!
The china set was given to me by my boss when I worked for the North Star Youth Outreach, which is a Non-denominational ministry to high school students. I always wanted a set of china, but wasn’t willing to pay retail prices.
A member of the community donated a building to the ministry, filled with treasures. He had been running a Antiques shop out of the building, and just gave us everything. We spent two days, selling everything at rock bottom prices just to get the building cleared and I got a lot of really cool pieces.
My best friend gave me the milk bottles, which were left over from her daughter’s wedding table decorations. I have been having fun painting them and decorating them to sell at our local store, 1806 Uniques and Antiques. The building was built in, you guessed it, 1806 so it’s the perfect backdrop for people’s treasures and “finds”.
The tablecloth was another gift from my Mother-in-law. Does it say “Spring Season” to you? Basically, if I have something nice on me or at my house, it came from her!
I did actually purchase the angel at a home party many years ago. I always loved it, but it was white and just seemed to blend in to the background. When I redid my dining room, I painted it a copper color and it stands out much better now. I like to think the angel is heralding the resurrection of our King!

But here’s the truth…I’m building this blog one small share at a time, and will continue to do so. So thank you so much for your support, my fellow DIYers.
